No-Fry Sabudana Vadas in Appe Pan

imageNo-Fry Sabudana Vadas…crunchy delicious and now not so sinful…with this wonderful new method of making them.
Using an appe pan to make these delicious bite-sized treats by passes the deep frying and let’s you indulge guilt-free!
This is one dish…that will make you run to the store to buy the appe pan…if you still don’t own one! 🙂

Method:
Soak sabudana for 4 hours/overnight in water. Add water till it comes 1/2 inch over the level of sabudana.
Mix 2/3 cup of soaked drained sabudana (the soaked sabudana should not be wet n soggy) with 1/3 cup of mashed potatoes, salt, red chili pwdr, amchoor, minced green chillies and chopped fresh dhania. Shape into small lemon size balls.

Heat appe pan, with 1-2 small drops of oil in each cavity.

Put one ball in each cavity and cook on medium high.

Slowly rotate balls as they brown from the underside.

Patience is the key here…this will take a good 15 minutes to become a crisp golden brown….do not rush!

Once golden brown…serve immediately with your fav chutney/ketchup….enjoy a delicious low fat, non fried healthy treat!
